Neil Lennon reportedly wants Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre to extend his stay at Parkhead.

Celtic fans can’t believe that Emilio Izaguirre has been offered a new contract, let alone that he might reject it.
But the Honduran has suggested that he wants to move to the USA rather than stick with the Bhoys.
“Celtic have offered me another one-year deal on my contract,” the full-back said.
“I don’t know what I am going to do yet. I am discussing it with my family.
“Neil Lennon has spoken to me and he wants me to remain at Celtic. But I want to be closer to Honduras when I play with the national team.”
Celtic fans simply cannot believe the comments for a number of reasons.
Many Bhoys fans are shocked that Celtic want to keep Izaguirre around, given his advancing years, and they feel that him rejecting the deal could actually do them a favour.
Izaguirre has made 19 appearances for Celtic in all competitions this season, and he has not always convinced.
Whether the 32-year-old will play for Celtic again before his current deal expires remains to be seen.
