Celtic and Hibernian drew 2-2 this weekend and a former Bhoys player came back to haunt them.

If any former Celtic player was going to score against them this season, Efe Ambrose was going to be well down the list in terms of likely candidates, yet that is exactly what happened as the Bhoys saw two-goal lead slip away to Hibernian on Sunday.
A brace from Scott Sinclair gave Celtic a comfortable lead but a Ambrose’s 76th-minute strike started the turnaround and Oli Shaw ensured Hibs got a share of the spoils just three minutes later.

The draw means Celtic are only five points clear of both Rangers and Aberdeen, although Brendan Rodgers’ side do still have another game in hand over the pair.
Ambrose played 169 times for Celtic but he was a figure of fun for the most part, meaning his latest contribution will sting those Bhoys supporters who treated him less like a fan favourite and more like a punchline to a personal joke.

Celtic are still in a great position heading into 2018 but they will not wan to let either Rangers or Aberdeen get a sniff this side of Christmas, especially with the Europa League another potential distraction in due course.
