Dedryck Boyata may have played his final game for Celtic.

Boyata limped off in the closing stages of the Old Firm game with a hamstring injury.

With only a handful of games left remaining of the season, that could be it for the 28-year-old, with his contract up at the end of the season.

This is something manager Neil Lennon has publicly acknowledged, with the interim boss quoted by the Daily Record.

There are not too many tears being shed among Celtic fans for Boyata.

His relationship with supporters frayed last summer when he came close to leaving in the summer transfer window.

Boyata’s performance against Rangers at the weekend was not great either.

His injury came when he was being given the run around by Ryan Kent.

Celtic need to plan without Boyata, and there is no need to rush him back, especially with the lead nearly already won.
