Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the SFA’s decision to overturn a ban on Rangers full-back Jon Flanagan.
Rangers defender Flanagan was shown a yellow card after he appeared to elbow Celtic midfielder Scott Brown inside the Gers’ penalty box while a corner was about to be taken 10 minutes into the second half in the Scottish Premiership game between the two sides last weekend.
Steven Gerrard’s side went on to pick up all three points from the Old Firm derby at Ibrox courtesy of a 2-0 win.
A three-man panel subsequently decided it was a red-card offence, and the 26-year-old former Liverpool full-back was charged.
However, subsequently an independent panel dismissed the case, and the Englishman has not been charged.
This means that Flanagan, who joined Rangers in the summer of 2018 after leaving Liverpool, is available to face Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Celtic fans have given their take on the SFA’s decision regarding Flanagan and are not pleased with what has happened.
