Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

According to The Gambling Times, Celtic are interested in signing Sturridge from Liverpool in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership giants are keen on securing the services of the England international striker this month.

According to the report, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers would happily offer Sturridge the chance to leave Liverpool.

The former Chelsea manager worked with the 28-year-old striker at Liverpool and knows him very well.

Sturridge, though, is reportedly on a big salary at Anfield, with The Sun claiming in May 2017 that he earns £120,000 per week.

The former Manchester City striker has had injury problems of late and is not guaranteed a place in the Liverpool starting lineup at the moment.
