A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Daniel Arzani’s performance and goal as the Australian found the back of the net for the first time since joining the Hoops on loan.

In the wake of Charly Musonda’s poor spell at Parkhead, Celtic fans would have been forgiven for being worried about Arzani’s prospects with the Scottish Premiership champions after he start he made.

On paper, the Manchester City-owned youngster appeared to be the Hoops’ most exciting signing from a largely underwhelming window. But he is yet to make his first-team debut for the club and was omitted from their Europa League group-stage squad recently.

But it appears that that may have been a mistake as Arzani showed his class during the reserves’ clash with Aberdeen on Monday afternoon with a sumptuous free-kick in a game that Celtic would go on to win 2-0.

The winger curled the ball deliciously into the corner from just outside the box to give the Hoops the lead. And unsurprisingly, there were plenty of supporters who were delighted with the impact that the Australian made.

His contribution has prompted several fans to suggest that he needs to be in the squad for this weekend’s clash with Kilmarnock to provide some of the creativity that the side were lacking when they drew 0-0 with St Mirren last time out.
