Glasgow Rangers new signing Sean Goss says the Ibrox club has closed the gap with Celtic.

Rangers new signing Sean Goss has said that the Gers have closed the gap with their Glasgow rivals Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are top of the Scottish Premiership with 51 points, 11 points ahead of Rangers. However, the midfielder believes the gap between the Ibrox club and Celtic has closed.

The 22-year-old joined Graeme Murty’s side on loan from Queens Park Rangers early in January. He will have to wait for his Rangers debut after the Scottish Cup tie at Fraserburgh was postponed after a pitch inspection yesterday.
He will have to wait till Wednesday for his competitive debut in blue at home to Aberdeen on Wednesday.
Goss said that it is the aim for Rangers to catch up with the champions. Rangers drew against Celtic before the winter break, and Goss says that they could have won the game.

He adds that the gap with the Bhoys has closed, and that the club is heading in the right direction after returning to the Premiership.
“I watched the [Old Firm] game before the winter break and the lads did well and could have nicked it,” said Goss, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“The gap has closed. The club is heading towards where it used to be, being back in the Premiership. “We have really high ambitions for the rest of this season as well. We want a cup and to finish as well as we can in the league.”
