With the big European return fixture against Zenit in mind, Brendan Rodgers made several changes to the side against St Johnstone on Sunday.

Calvin Miller enjoyed a rare run out in Sunday’s 0-0 draw against St Johnstone at Parkhead. It was only his second start for the senior side.

Miller has come through the youth ranks at the club alongside Kieran Tierney, and he hopes to make the grade at Parkhead.

Tierney is one of the best full backs in the UK, and has played a lot of games this season. Rodgers decided to rest him ahead of the Europa League clash, and included Miller in the starting XI in his position.

Miller said after the match that he felt he did alright and that he just needs to keep working hard to get more chances.

However, judging by the reaction on social media, it seems Celtic fans weren’t at all impressed by his performance.

Celtic are still top of the Scottish Premiership table with 61 points, nine points ahead of second placed Rangers.
