Celtic were left to rue a late equaliser – and a red card for Scott Brown – as they drew 2-2 with Ross County on Sunday afternoon.

The Bhoys took the lead in the 34th minute via Kieran Tierney but Michael Gardyne levelled five minutes after the restart.

With just 12 minute remaining, Patrick Roberts looked to have secured all three points for the runaway leaders, but a seemingly apparent dive from Alex Schalk gifted the hosts a spot kick and Liam Boyce made no mistake.

The decision left Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers fuming and while it will not affect anything in the grand scheme of things it was still a bitter pill to swallow after the Bhoys’ had looked set for another three points.

One player who struggled to make an impact on proceedings was midfielder Callum McGregor.

The 23-year-old has featured 39 times for Celtic this season but a number of fans feel he is simply not good enough to have a long-term career at the club.
