Celtic fans hit back at Brett Emerton’s claims over Daniel Arzani.
Daniel Arzani is Australia’s most promising player and Celtic were lucky enough to land him on a loan deal.
Celtic scooped up Arzani after he signed permanently with Manchester City and he is trying to force his way into the first team.
So far Arzani has been working with the under-20s squad and made a good impression this week, scoring a free-kick against Aberdeen.
Arzani is being patient, but not everybody is happy to see him biding his time.
Former Australia international Brett Emerton blasted Celtic yesterday.
He told Goal that he wanted to see Arzani playing in the Dutch Eredivisie instead, saying: “”I think for his development it would’ve been a better move if I’m honest.”
“I’m hopeful he’ll do well. I want our national team to do well and for that we need our players in the biggest leagues week in, week out. That should be his ambition.”
Playing in the Scottish Premiership certainly didn’t do Virgil van Dijk and Moussa Dembele any harm, instead it enhanced their reputation.
Celtic fans hit back at Emerton’s comments, arguing that the standard of the team is better than he realises, and Arzani must earn his way in.
