Neil Lennon’s side were in action against AIK at Celtic Park in the first leg of their Europa League playoff round.
The Scottish Premiership giants won the match 2-0, thanks to goals from James Forrest and Odsonne Edouard in the second half.
Bolingoli-Mbombo, who joined Celtic from Rapid Vienna in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £3 million, started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
The 24-year-old left-back gave away the ball on a number of occasions, and there were times when his decision-making was not great.
Bolingoli-Mbombo did show some quality going forward and was involved in the opening goal for the Hoops, and his overall performance was mixed.
