Celtic have brought in their new manager as Ange Postecoglou has joined the club – and he may look to reunite with Aaron Mooy.
The Bhoys had a lengthy managerial pursuit ruined by Eddie Howe’s snub, but they moved quickly to land Postecoglou instead.
With no director of football in place, Postecoglou may be the one identifying possible signings, with one interesting rumour emerging this week.
Aaron Mooy to Celtic?
The World Game in Australia reported that there is already a feeling in China that Celtic are going to make a move for Shanghai Port midfielder Aaron Mooy.
Mooy worked with Postecoglou on the international stage, and reuniting with his ex-Australia manager could be somewhat appealing, especially as he has a Scottish wife.
Celtic need midfield recruits given that Scott Brown has gone, and a move for Mooy could make some sense – but only if Mooy takes a pay cut given his huge wages in China.

Celtic fans have their say
Celtic supporters have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with a number of fans saying that they would take Mooy ‘in a heartbeat’.
Others called him ‘class’ and ‘quality’, seemingly believing that he would be a huge addition for Postecoglou and Celtic.
