Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side have been quiet in the transfer market to date, but there is hope that Yaya Toure could arrive.

Yaya Toure controls the ball during the Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2018 match between England and The Rest of the World at Old Trafford on June 10, 2018 in Manchester, England.

Celtic fans are hopeful that Dmitri Seluk’s tweet on Yaya Toure suggests that the midfielder could be heading to Parkhead.

Seluk confirmed that Toure had undergone a medical in London yesterday, which a move imminent.

And Celtic fans are now hopeful that they could be the team that Toure joins, as Seluk confirmed that he wouldn’t be moving to West Ham United or Crystal Palace.

Celtic would surely have to blow their wage budget to bring in Toure, as his financial demands will be high.

The central midfielder would be a brilliant addition to their squad though, as he has such a wealth of experience.

Celtic have not made much movement in the transfer market so far, with Brendan Rodgers previously expressing his frustration at their lack of signings.

However, Toure’s arrival would really be a statement of Celtic’s ambition, and would surely bring positivity back around Parkhead.
