Celtic are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League, but only after a dramatic night that saw the Hoops nearly go out of the competition.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Tom Rogic’s performance during the Hoops’ Europa League defeat to Red Bull Salzburg at Parkhead on Thursday – and there are plenty saying that it may have been the Australian’s worst display for the Bhoys.

Brendan Rodgers’ men are through to the knockout stages of the competition after a dramatic night. They were beaten 2-1, but Rosenborg’s equaliser against RB Leipzig sent the Hoops through.

The scoreline would have perhaps been a lot worse had it not been for Craig Gordon, who made a number of world-class saves. His error did lead to the visitors’ second, but he was extremely impressive and crucial up until that point.

One player who seemed to struggle on the night was Rogic. The 25-year-old failed to produce the magic that Celtic needed to take some of the pressure off.

Whoscored shows that he only made 17 accurate passes during the game. Odsonne Edouard was the only member of the squad to play the full 90 minutes and produce fewer accurate passes.

And that has left plenty of Hoops fans suggesting that they feel that Thursday was potentially Rogic’s worst display for the Hoops. Some have questioned whether he was fully fit as he was nowhere near his best.
