Celtic had to settle for a draw in their latest Scottish Premiership clash, though Tom Rogic did impress for the Hoops.
Celtic fans have been commenting on Twitter after the Hoops could only bag a draw from their clash with Motherwell on Sunday in a game that saw Tom Rogic get through 90 minutes for the first time since December.
Rogic has been a peripheral figure for the Bhoys over the last few months as he seemingly tries to prove his fitness after a difficult time with injuries, but he was given the chance to start at Fir Park as Celtic attempted to make it four wins on the spin in all competitions.
They were unable to bag another win, but there was some positives for Rodgers to take into the international break, including the Hoops extending their advantage at the top of the table to 10 points and Rogic putting in an incredibly impressive performance.
The Australian was unable to get on the scoresheet, but looked to be Celtic’s most dangerous player, often playing some nice passes and pulling off some nice touches as the Hoops tried to break Well’s resistance.
His performance has prompted a number of fans to heap praise on the playmaker, suggesting that he was one of the few plus points to emerge from the game.
There has been speculation surrounding his contract situation lately – though the Daily Record reported recently that Celtic have dismissed any suggestion that there is any concern – with little over a year left to run on his deal. And Hoops fans feel that his performance on Sunday was another reminder as to why he needs that new contract.
