Ex-Rangers striker Kris Boyd recently confirmed that he is to retire from football, with Steven Naismith comparing him to Celtic legend Henrik Larsson.

Celtic supporters on Twitter are in absolute hysterics after Steven Naismith claimed that ex-Ragers striker Kris Boyd is on par with Premiership legends Henrik Larsson and Ally McCoist.
Ex-Rangers, Scotland and Kilmarnock striker Boyd recently announced his retirement from the game and Naismith didn’t hesitate in naming him alongside a couple of legendary figures, as quoted by the Daily Record.
It is fair to say that the Celtic supporters saw the funny side to Naismith’s comments as they made it clear that Boyd isn’t anywhere near the same level as Larsson or even former Rangers man McCoist.
Boyd has hung up his boots and he leaves with the current tag of being the all-time leading scorer in the Scottish Premiership.
However, having represented Rangers for a number of years during his career, Boyd only scored one goal and against Celtic.

The Bhoys supporters on Twitter were quick to point that out as they quite clearly disagreed with what the current Hearts man had to say about his counterpart.
In recent seasons, Boyd could be seen working as a pundit, mainly for Sky, as it won’t be a surprise to see him working as a full-time pundit now he has retired from the game.
He will no doubt watch on in interest as Celtic and Rangers lock horns once again next season as Neil Lennon hopes to bring a ninth straight Premiership title to the club.
