Celtic fans react to Scott McKenna’s disastrous performance for Aberdeen.

Scott McKenna of Aberdeen walks on the pitch with team mates prior to the Betfred Cup Final between Celtic and Aberdeen at Hampden Park on December 2, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Scott McKenna had a nightmare of a performance for Aberdeen against Rangers last night.

McKenna gave away a penalty when his side were 2-1 down after handballing inside his own box.

Unlike recent Rangers penalties, there was no controversy over this one, with McKenna’s arm raised above his head as he appealed for offside, only to bat the ball away.

In the second half with Aberdeen 3-2 down he got tangled up with Rangers agitator Alfredo Morelos and reacted by aiming a kick at the striker.

Both players were sent off, rounding off a miserable night for the 22-year-old.

McKenna was a transfer target for Celtic last summer with The Times reporting their interest.

Scott McKenna of Scotland controls the ball during the Vauxhall International Challenge match between Scotland and Costa Rica at Hampden Park on March 23, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Aberdeen told Celtic he was not for sale and jus this January, Sky Sports reported he was valued at £8 million by the Dons.

Celtic fans found this value laughable last night after his disastrous game and took to Twitter to comment on a lucky escape…
