The Hoops and Socceroos ace netted an injury-time winner against Syria but some Celtic fans are aware he’ll be away even longer now.

Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic is a valued player at club level for sure, but he has potentially etched his name in Australia football folklore thanks to his exploits in the Asian Cup.
The Socceroos had to avoid defeat against Syria in order to reach the last 16 of the competition after an opening-day defeat to Jordan.
Australia had taken a first-half lead through Awer Mabil four minutes before the break, but Omar Khribin scored an equaliser just two minutes later.
Christopher Ikonomidis then put Graham Arnold’s side back in front on 54 minutes, Rogic playing his part with a through-ball, but an Omar Al Somah penalty 10 minutes from time made it a nervy finish for the Aussies.
However, Rogic – playing through the pain barrier having broken a bone in his hand earlier in the competition – struck a superb goal from 25 yards out late on to ensure victory for his nation.
Some Celtic fans went on Twitter to praise Rogic’s efforts in the game against Syria, in particular his ferocious injury-time winner, but some were also upset because Australia’s progress means they’ll be deprived of their player for even longer.
