Celtic had been hoping to seal a deal for Motherwell midfielder.

Celtic’s on and off transfer for Motherwell ace David Turnbull has taken another twist.
And it’s not good news for anybody involved.
The Scottish Sun was the first to report ‘a medical issue’ threatens to scupper the protracted deal.
Motherwell had initially accepted an offer from Celtic, before Turnbull rejected the club’s offer, negotiation with Norwich, and then circled back to the Scottish champions.
Now he is left in limbo as Celtic decide their next course of action.
The midfielder who struck 15 goals last season has had an injury free career so far, and the details of the medical issues concerned are unclear.

The Scottish Sun report talks are ongoing between Celtic and Motherwell, and Turnbull and his agents, to find a solution ‘within the player’s best interests’.
It seems unlikely, but there is now a distinct possibility the transfer falls through and Turnbull has to report for Motherwell training shortly.
The Scottish Sun later reported Turnbull is optimistic the move will go ahead.
Here is a look at how Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to the reports…
