Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to recent comments made by Rangers manager Dave King.
Rangers chairman King has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Celtic are not as far ahead of the Gers as they should be.
The Gers finished as many as 39 points behind the Hoops last season. While Brendan Rodgers’s side won the Scottish Premiership title without losing a single game, the Ibrox outfit could only end up third.
“In footballing terms, I don’t think Celtic are as far ahead as they could have been – certainly with our new signings,” King told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“Given that we were in the wilderness for four years I don’t think that Celtic did as much in that four years as they could have done.”

Celtic and Rangers are fierce Old Firm rivals, but at the moment it is the Bhoys who are miles ahead of the Gers.
The Hoops have the best and strongest squad in the Scottish Premiership, while Rangers returned to the top flight of Scottish football one at the end of the 2015-16 season.
Pedro Caixinha’s side will be hoping to close the gap on Celtic next season, but it is going to be hard for the Gers.
Rangers should be happy if they finish second in the Scottish Premiership next season and progress to the group stage of the Europa League.
