Cutting in off the right flank, the on-loan Manchester City man played a neat one-two with Callum McGregor and swept a left-foot strike into the far corner, to cap a run of three goals in twice as many first half minutes.
Roberts caps a fine Celtic
The Celtic supporters were left purring at Roberts’ performance, with some going so far as to liken him to five time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi.
However, if he scores more goals like that one, he may have to get used to that particular comparison – especially after Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the 19-year-old’s parent club.
