The 20-year-old, who missed a penalty against Barcelona during the club’s last European outing, turned home James Forrest’s cross after three minutes before putting the hosts 3-2 ahead just after half-time with a stunning overhead kick.
With Leigh Griffiths consigned to the bench, Dembele led the side from the front and proved a threat to the Man City back line all game.

Having bagged a treble against Rangers already this month, the former Fulham striker is becoming a firm fans’ favourite at Celtic Park this season.
Dembele’s brace meant that he became the first Celtic player in nearly ten years to score a double in the Champions League, since Kenny Miller in October 2006.
