The Hoops brought the right-back on loan at Parkhead from Stoke and he did well in the big derby last week.

Uruguay's Edinson Cavani (L) and Austria's Moritz Bauer vie for the ball during the international friendly football match Austria v Uruguay in Vienna, on November 14, 2017.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on Moritz Bauer’s comments about what he plans to do for, and achieve at, the Parkhead club, in an interview with the Celtic website.

The Austrian right-back, on loan at Celtic from Stoke City with an option for the treble Treble winners to buy him next summer (BBC Sport) and valued at £2.25million by Transfermarkt, was thrown in at the deep end last week as Neil Lennon subbed him on during the derby against Rangers at Ibrox.

Bauer did not disappoint, playing his part in the solid 2-0 win for the Hoops to maintain their 100 percent start to the bid for nine-in-a-row, and with the international break putting , he spoke of how he now has his plan firmly in place regarding doing well for his loan club.

“I love being here and having the target of being first and I like that pressure,” the 27-year-old told Celtic View. “There are players here who have already won titles, and it’s a big opportunity for me to learn from them and grow as a player as I hope to be part of a successful team.”

Here is what some Bhoys fans said on social media in response to his comments:

Up next for Celtic is the Scottish Premiership trip to Hamilton Academical a week on Saturday.
