Celtic haven’t found it easy to replace Kieran Tierney – and that means they’re in the market for another left back this summer.

The Bhoys sold Tierney to Arsenal last summer, and brought in Greg Taylor and Boli Bolingoli to replace him.

Bolingoli struggled in his first season and could now leave the club after breaking pandemic protocol, with competition needed behind Taylor.

The newest target for Celtic is Paris Saint-Germain talent Mitchel Bakker, though luring him to Glasgow could be a struggle.

Sky Sports report that Celtic have made a loan bid for Bakker, but PSG have rejected their offer for now, but the door is not shut.

The 20-year-old joined PSG from Ajax last summer, and made five first-team appearances for the French giants, including one in the league.

The Dutchman needs first-team football, and it’s no wonder Celtic want him given his strong athletic profile and his pace going forward.

Celtic fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with a number of fans suggesting that Bakker is a ‘class’ player.

Others want Peter Lawwell to get the deal done, as he is exactly what Celtic need in the left back spot, believing he can be an instant star at Parkhead if they can tempt PSG into a deal.
