Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has warned Celtic’s Neil Lennon.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has raised the stakes ahead of this weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final with Celtic.
McInnes has warned Celtic interim boss Neil Lennon his spell at the club will be a failure if Aberdeen knock them out.
This is despite Lennon steadying the ship since Brendan Rodgers walked away, guiding them to the brink of another Scottish Premiership title.
McInnes told BBC Sport: “He’s on a hiding to nothing really. If he doesn’t win the league – which he will now, I’m pretty sure – or if he doesn’t win the cup, it will be seen as a failure.”
It has to be said that an element of McInnes’ comments, are accurate, even though they are harsh.
It simply reflects the high expectations at the club and the standard predecessor Brendan Rodgers set.

The problem comes from the fact these comments come from McInnes, who has struggled to win any silverware in recent seasons at Aberdeen.
Just earlier this season they were beaten in the League Cup final by Celtic 3-0.
Here is a look at how Celtic fans reacted on Twitter to his comments…
