Celtic have announced the signing of 15-year-old defender Leo Hjelde, who has signed a three-year deal at Parkhead.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to the announcement that the Hoops made on their official website that Leo Hjelde has joined the Scottish Premiership champions on a three-year deal.
The 15-year-old has become the Bhoys’ latest signing after agreeing a move from Rosenborg. He is a left-sided centre-back and has played for Norway’s under-16s at international level. The club confirmed that Hjelde will begin life at Celtic with the reserves before potentially progressing into the first-team fold.
He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of countryman Kristoffer Ajer, who has become a key player for the Hoops, as well as for Norway, having initially arrived as an unproven teenager. It is easy to forget that it took the defender some time to force his way into the first-team picture at Parkhead.
The news has unsurprisingly attracted plenty of reaction on social media. Celtic have not exactly made a raft of signings this summer, and that has been mentioned by a couple of fans who want to see the club announcing more marquee deals at this stage of the window.

However, there is also plenty of positive reaction greeting Hjelde’s arrival on social media.
There is a belief that Celtic have potentially pulled off a brilliant piece of business and uncovered a possible gem, and the supporters are hoping that it may not be too long before he appears in one of Neil Lennon’s lineups.
