Simunovic featured for Celtic against Rangers in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
The 22-year-old defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Bhoys won 1-0.
Moussa Dembele’s goal in the 87th minute proved to be the difference between the two Old Firm rivals.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon, Rangers had 42% of the possession, took eight shots of which three were on target, and earned one corner, according to BBC Sport.
Celtic had 58% of the possession, took 24 shots of which eight were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
The Bhoys will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Ross County away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
