Hayes featured for Celtic in the pre-season friendly match against Rovers at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international winger did not start the match, but he came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute.
The summer signing from Aberdeen scored in the 81st minute, as Brendan Rodgers’s side got the better of the League of Ireland Premier Division team 9-0.
