Free agent Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted his desire to play for Celtic.

Agbonlahor featured in a charity game involving Celtic and Liverpool at the weekend and admitted he would be open to a move to the Glasgow giants.

Agbonlahor is a free agent after his contract with Aston Villa expired.

Prior to this, Agbonlahor had been a one club man through his career barring two short loan spells in 2005, and is looking for a fresh start.

Agbonlahor told The Scottish Sun: “It’s a massive club and even just to come here and play in a charity match is an honour. I’ll try and speak to Brendan Rodgers and we’ll see what happens!”

The forward is 31 and made only six appearances for Villa last season.
