Celtic are set to allow Eric Sviatchenko to depart this month.

Celtic fans generally appear to be disappointed that Eric Sviatchenko appears to be set to exit this month.

Sviatchenko has been slightly out of form this season, but once looked to have a great deal of promise.
And Celtic fans are disappointed to see Sviatchenko heading for the exit door, with many suggesting he remains a far better options than Dedryck Boyata.
If Sviatchenko does leave Celtic it will bring to an end a two year stay with the Glasgow side.
Celtic are thought to still be looking for a new centre-back, and Rodgers has already upgraded his backline.
Celtic have brought in Marvin Compper from Red Bull Leipzig, and the German is expected to walk straight into Celtic’s starting line-up.
Celtic are currently on winter break, and will not return to competitive action for another fortnight, when they are due to face Brechin in the Scottish Cup.
