Celtic supporters have been left baffled by Daniel Arzani’s omission from Brendan Rodgers’ side’s European squad.

Celtic brought in Arzani on loan from Manchester City this summer, and there was great excitement about what the Australian international could do.

Arzani shone at the World Cup, and was touted as a hugely bright prospect back in Australia.

However, Rodgers hasn’t used him so far, and the right-back appears to be some way away from Celtic’s first team.

Arzani was not even named in Celtic’s 25-man squad for the Europa League.

And Rodgers’s decision to leave Arzani on the sidelines has left some Bhoys fans wondering what is going on with their new addition.

Celtic did not make many signings during the summer, so to see Rodgers overlook one of the new boys comes as a shock, even if he does have time on his side.

Arzani is due to spend two years at Celtic, so it could be that Rodgers just believes that the youngster needs more time to adapt to his new surroundings, before he puts him into the first-team.
