Celtic fans have been reacting on Twitter following reports from the Sunday Mail that suggested that the Hoops are plotting a summer move for Rangers loanee Emerson Hyndman this summer.

The Mail reports that Hyndman’s parent club Bournemouth have been contacted by the Bhoys about a move for the 20-year-old, who has made a major impression since arriving at Ibrox in January.

According to the Mail, despite his potential, the Cherries could well consider some kind of deal with Brendan Rodgers’ side due to the fact that he perhaps may not enjoy much first-team football at the Vitality Stadium.

Hyndman has arguably been the Gers’ best player since arriving at the club, having scored four times in the Scottish Premiership in just nine games.

Despite his form, the news has received a mixed response from Celtic supporters. While some have recognised that Hyndman appears to have plenty of potential and has done well at Ibrox – he was undoubtedly one of their better performers in the most recent Old Firm game – others are less convinced that he would be the kind of signing that would significantly improve the squad.

Meanwhile, some Celtic fans seem to be keen on a deal just so they can make sure that one of Rangers’ best players from this season will not be linking up with Pedro Caixinha’s men next term.
