Marvin Compper has barely been seen since joining Celtic in January 2018.

A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react as Marvin Compper appeared for the Hoops’ reserve side in their 1-0 win away at Kilmarnock on Monday.
Compper has endured a nightmare spell at Parkhead. BBC Sport reports that Brendan Rodgers paid £1 million to sign the centre-back from RB Leipzig ahead of the 2018 January transfer window – and it has not proved to be money well spent.
The 33-year-old had struggled with injury at various points before his arrival at Celtic, and he has managed to make just one appearance for the first-team. He is yet to be used in the Scottish Premiership.
But he got another chance to catch the eye this week as he was named in the development side that travelled to Rugby Park. Armstrong Oko-Flex scored the only goal, but it was the one-time Germany international who seemed to attract the most attention on social media.

The game nearly started in dream fashion for the defender as he found the back of the net inside eight minutes. Unfortunately, the effort was ruled out because he was offside.
And with the rest of the game largely passing without incident, many of the Celtic fans have joked that it must be a hoax that Compper is playing for the club in any capacity as they remain unconvinced that he actually exists.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Compper’s latest appearance and the ruled out goal…
