Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon is reportedly being targeted by Premier League giants Chelsea.
Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to discuss reports linking Craig Gordon with a surprise move to Chelsea during the latter stages of the January transfer window.
According to the Telegraph, the 34-year-old is one of three goalkeepers currently being considered by the Blues as they weigh up whether to allow Bournemouth target Asmir Begovic to leave Stamford Bridge.

Along with Fernando Muslera and Diego Lopez, Gordon is being monitored having been recommended by former first-team goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon (via Telegraph).
Though Gordon has Premier League experience and has been Celtic’s virtually undisputed number one since 2014, it would certainly be a big surprise if he ended up leaving the Hoops for Chelsea this month.

The Scotland international’s professional career appeared to be over following his injury-plagued spell at Sunderland which came to an end in 2012, and while goalkeepers can play at a high level for considerably longer than most, it is fair to suggest that Gordon may not be a long-term solution as Thibaut Courtois’ understudy.
Interestingly, given Gordon’s form for the Bhoys, Celtic fans have been left divided on social media when discussing the idea of losing their number one. While some are concerned about letting him go – especially given Dorus De Vries’ underwhelming stint between the sticks earlier in the campaign – others believe that they will be able to land a better stopper anyway.
