A number of Celtic fans were not impressed as the Hoops announced the signing of Armstrong Okoflex.

Several Celtic supporters have responded angrily after the club announced over the weekend that the Hoops had completed a deal to sign Armstrong Okoflex several weeks after the youngster had made the switch to Parkhead.

Okoflex arrived at Celtic in July, according to BBC Sport, following the end of his contract with Arsenal, but the club only announced that the deal had taken the place the day after the transfer window shut in Scotland.

And that stance has left a lot of supporters feeling somewhat cheated after a window which saw Celtic come in for a lot of criticism as they struggled to get a lot of exciting business done.

In the early stages of the summer, Brendan Rodgers was only able to bring back players who had been at the club last term, with both Odsonne Edouard and Scott Bain being kept following initial loan deals. Another ex-Celtic ace, Emilio Izaguirre, would also seal a return later on.

The Scottish Premiership champions did kick into another gear during the final days of the summer. Filip Benkovic and Youssouf Mulumbu arrived right at the end of the window, while Daniel Arzani’s loan move from Manchester City looks as if it could prove to be a masterstroke if he realises his potential.

However, many fans seemingly feel annoyed after the Bhoys unveiled Okoflex as a new signing the day after the deadline – especially as it had come a day after Moussa Dembele’s exit from the club – with some hinting that announcing a signing who has already been with the Hoops for a little while seems to symbolise what the summer was like for Celtic.
