Celtic fans have been reacting with delight on Twitter after the club announced on their official website that Brendan Rodgers has committed his future to the Hoops by signing a new contract that will run until 2021.
Rodgers has proved to be an inspired appointment during his first season at Parkhead, helping Celtic dominate the domestic scene while also making more of an impact in Europe after a couple of disappointing years.
The Bhoys have already wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title and go into the final handful of games still unbeaten, having dropped points on just two occasions so far.
Meanwhile, they have also won the League Cup and have a Scottish Cup semi-final against Rangers still on the horizon, so it would take a brave person to bet against them claiming the domestic treble.

In the Champions League, they bounced back from an embarrassing defeat to Lincoln Red Imps in their first qualifying game to go all the way to the group-stages, where they often gave a good account of themselves in an extremely tough pool which also included Barcelona, Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Unsurprisingly therefore, Celtic fans seem delighted that he is set to stay put for another four years (via club’s official website), and are excited about what direction the Hoops are set to go in with Rodgers in charge.
