Celtic have loaned Anthony Ralston to Championship side Dundee United until the end of the season, the Bhoys confirmed via their official website on Friday.
Ralston recently returned from a lengthy spell out injured and many Celtic supporters had hoped to see him back in the team, after the right-back made a positive impression earlier in the campaign.
However, they must now wait until the new season before their wish can be granted, unless Ralston is recalled for some reason.
A likely run of games is not going to do him any harm, mind, and could set him up nicely to make an impact next term.
Nevertheless, not all Celtic fans see it that way, with many questioning the decision to loan out the 19-year-old, who leaves behind maligned pair Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa in his position.
