Armstrong left Celtic in the summer to join Southampton.

Stuart Armstrong has claimed that he does not miss playing for Celtic in Scotland after leaving the Hoops to join Southampton in the English Premier League – and Bhoys fans have mocked him on Twitter.
Armstrong, 26, left Celtic in the summer after picking up four Scottish Premiership medals to chance his arm in the English Premier League with Mark Hughes’ Saints.
Fast forward three months, and it is hardly going well for the ex-Dundee United midfielder, as he has managed just 226 minutes of Premier League action with the south-coast club.
Armstrong, who was giving a press conference ahead of Scotland’s UEFA Nations League matches against Albania and Israel, spoke of how he does not miss Scottish football despite his struggling start to life at Southampton.
He said: “I wouldn’t say I miss Scottish football. If I’d stayed at Celtic and continued to have success I’d view my career when it finished as a very good one. But I grew up watching the Premier League. It’s something I dreamed about.”

During his time at Celtic, the nine-time Scotland international clocked up 144 appearances, scoring 28 goals and laying on 25 assists. His best season came in Rodgers’ first at Celtic, scoring 17 in 45 games.
Armstrong was Celtic fans’ favourite back then, but fast forward two years and supporters of the Bhoys are mocking him on Twitter for his comments in the press conference.
