Rangers midfielder Jason Holt is hoping to earn a Scotland call-up and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter.

Jason Holt has told Rangers’ official website that he is hoping to follow teammate Ryan Jack by earning a call-up to the Scotland national side – and Celtic fans have ridiculed the midfielder on Twitter.
Holt, 24, has finally claimed his place back in the Rangers side of late, starting the Gers last four Scottish Premiership starts in which Rangers have taken 10 points from a possible 12.
Scotland’s interim boss Malky Mackay has picked a largely controversial Scotland squad to face the Netherlands on Thursday night, handing call-ups to the likes of fellow Gers ace Jack, Aberdeen trio Ryan Christie, Graeme Shinnie and Kenny McLean as well as Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings.
Holt now believes that he could get into the Scotland side in the future and follow Jack, stating that being in the squad is an “aim” he has “for the future too”.
Rangers’ number 23 has represented Scotland at Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21’s level, but is yet to make his senior bow. However, the former Hearts ace is desperate to achieve a place in the squad sooner rather than later.
Celtic fans took to Twitter to express their reaction at Holt’s desire to gain a place in the Scotland squad, with one fan claiming he could “come in and get Broony’s [Scott Brown’s] autograph.”
