Toure is back at Celtic three months after his contract expired.

Kolo Toure is back at Celtic, albeit not in the capacity many Bhoys fans would have liked.
Toure helped Celtic to a league and cup double in his solitary season at Parkhead, but left at the end of his playing contract in June.
Three months on, the Ivorian has agreed to take on the role of technical assistant, which according to Celtic’s website will entail ‘supporting on all first team coaching matters, as well as using his knowledge, experience and expertise to assist across the club’s various youth levels’.

Toure’s initial departure left Brendan Rodgers’ side short at the centre back, where Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer are the Bhoys’ only available options after injuries to Dedryck Boyata and Erik Sviatchenko.
But the 36 year old will not be pulling on the famous green and white hoops, after confirming his retirement from playing… much to the disappointment of these Celtic supporters…
