Defoe joined Rangers from AFC Bournemouth in January on an 18-month loan.

A video of a Celtic fan confronting Rangers striker Jermain Defoe has emerged on Twitter, with the Hoops fan suggesting Defoe joined the wrong team – and Celtic fans reacted on Twitter.
Defoe joined Rangers on an 18-month loan from Premier League side AFC Bournemouth, teaming up with former England teammate Steven Gerrard at Ibrox. The 36-year-old has since scored two goals in four games for Rangers.
He scored his second against St. Mirren in a 4-0 win on Saturday at Ibrox from the penalty spot, as well as winning two penalties for the Teddy Bears.
A Celtic fan videoed Defoe from his car, and the footage has emerged on Twitter which shows the Celtic fan telling Defoe he joined the wrong team – to which Defoe replies “we will see about that”, before saying they are “both good teams”.
Defoe started against St. Mirren alongside Alfredo Morelos, with Gerrard looking for a way in which to incorporate both strikers into his side.
Celtic fans reacted to the footage in which Defoe remains loyal to Rangers, with many Hoops fans describing the video as “embarrassing” and “cringeworthy”.
