Celtic are in desperate need of a right-back, after Anthony Ralston suffered an injury.

Celtic are reportedly interested in signing Lech Poznan defender Robert Gumny before the end of the January transfer window despite a steep asking price – and Hoops fans are excited on Twitter.
Polish outlet Gazeta Wyborcza claim Celtic are willing to spend £4.3million to sign the 20-year-old right-back, who is a regular despite his tender age. He has already clocked up 57 appearances for Poznan.
Gumny’s biggest asset is his electrifying pace on the right side of defence, while his stamina is also commended for his ability to get up and down the right flank without breaking a sweat.
Celtic have been keeping tabs on the Poland youth international, and with Anthony Ralston suffering a ligament injury in the 4-0 win over St. Mirren, a move for Gumny could materialise.

Ralston’s injury leaves just Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa to pick from, but both players are in the final months of their contracts and certainly do not look as though they will remain at Parkhead beyond the summer.
At 20 years of age, Gumny could be seen as Lustig’s long-term replacement. Celtic fans reacted to the reports that the Hoops could be willing to stump up a hefty fee for the up-and-coming Gumny – and the majority were excited.
