Celtic have confirmed that Calvin Miller has extended his contract and is set to leave the Hoops on loan.

Celtic have confirmed on their official website that Calvin Miller has extended his contract with the Hoops until 2020 and is set to leave Parkhead on loan for the rest of the season. And a number of Hoops fans have taken to social media to comment on the news.
Miller is perhaps one of the more unlucky players within the Celtic squad right now as he looks to break into Brendan Rodgers’ team at left-back. Kieran Tierney has been an incredible servant since breaking into the side, and now Miller faces an even tougher battle trying to get into the team with Emilio Izaguirre returning for a second spell.
The club have also suggested that he is likely to move away on loan for the rest of the season, which is unsurprising given the presence of both Izaguirre and Tierney ahead of him in the pecking order.

Interestingly, the reaction to the news has largely been negative. Not only have some responded to the announcement by venting their frustration over the lack of signings, but there are also plenty who believe that Miller is not going to make the grade with the club.
Some feel therefore, that it is pointless giving him a new contract at this stage. And while there are some positive comments, the large majority appear to not be overly excited by the news.

Here is what some of the Celtic fans are saying…
