Celtic fans do not appear to be at all worried after The Sun on Sunday (09/12; page 57) reported at the weekend that Callum McGregor is being eyed for a January move to the Premier League.
McGregor has been sensational this season. No player in the Celtic squad has provided more assists in the Scottish Premiership than the 25-year-old this season, and his performances in holding midfield have been exceptional.
Unsurprisingly, he appears to be attracting attention ahead of next month’s window. The Sun on Sunday (09/12; page 57) have suggested that Bournemouth are keen on the Hoops academy graduate.
Eddie Howe’s men have suffered a major setback recently with the news that Lewis Cook is out for the rest of the season due to injury, and the Cherries boss apparently wants McGregor to come in to fill the void.

The report adds that Celtic want £10 million for the Scotland international, and Bournemouth will not hesitate to meet that asking price. So it would appear that everything could be in place for a move to take place.
However, many Celtic fans on social media are not convinced that there is anything to worry about. Several cannot see why the board would accept anything like the £10 million being quoted, while others do not believe that McGregor himself would have any interest in swapping Parkhead for the Vitality Stadium.

Here is what some of the Celtic fans make of the reports…
