Celtic striker Vakoun Issouf Bayo will be looking to make an impact under Neil Lennon.
Celtic saw Odsonne Edouard hit 23 goals last season, but Neil Lennon may still be in the market for a striking addition this summer for some additional firepower.
The Bhoys do have two strikers returning though. The first is Leigh Griffiths, who will be coming back to first-team action after taking an extended break from football for personal reasons.
The other is Vakoun Issouf Bayo, who joined Celtic from Dunajska Streda back in January, having impressed with 18 goals in 23 games for the Slovakian outfit.
Bayo, 22, was seen as a bit of a punt by Celtic, arriving without breaking the bank, but Brendan Rodgers gave him just one substitute appearance before leaving for Leicester City.
Bayo didn’t feature under Neil Lennon, and then saw his season end early through injury, meaning he was in danger of becoming a forgotten man just months after arriving.
Today, Celtic took to Twitter to post a video of Bayo training on an exercise bike, gearing up for pre-season and his first full season as a Celtic player, with Bayo no doubt hoping Lennon will give him a chance – even though he wasn’t his signing.
Celtic fans have reacted, with many joking that he was barely at the club in the first place never mind returning now, with others split on whether he’ll be like a new signing or simply not good enough for the Bhoys.
