Celtic were reported to have made a bid for the Aberdeen man earlier in the summer window.

Celtic target Scott McKenna handed in a transfer request to Aberdeen on Monday, BBC Scotland report.
The Hoops were linked with a move for the Dons defender as recently as June, with The Scottish Sun believing that Celtic had a £5m bid for the player booted out.
Now though it’s clear that the Scotland international intends to leave Pittodrie sooner rather than later.
Whether Celtic are still interested remains to be seen.
The Hoops have already signed Christopher Jullien this summer and Neil Lennon has been successfully utilising Nir Bitton at centre-back too.
There’s an argument to be made for signing another central defender but, with Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer also competing, perhaps not at great cost.
Could McKenna’s actions drive his price down?
It’s since been reported by The Daily Record that Aberdeen will hold firm on their stance regarding the centre-back, not keen on bowing to the player’s demands or reducing their valuation.
However, having unhappy players around is never conducive to success and it could be that their hand is forced as we approach the end of the English transfer window on Thursday or Scottish window in a few weeks time.

Celtic fans have given a mixed reaction to the news.
Some feel he is a player well worth making a move for…
Others though are far less convinced, believing he’s not quite of the standard that Lennon’s side needs…
