Celtic prodigy Karamoko Dembele marked his first start for the Bhoys’ second string with a goal against Patrick Thistle.

Dembele was one of five different scorers in a 6-0 rout for Celtic in the City of Glasgow Cup.

The 15-year-old’s latest achievement comes almost exactly two years since his headline-making debut for the Bhoys’ Under-20s.

And some Celtic fans are struggling to contain their excitement over the winger – who is no relation to Moussa Dembele, the striker sold by Brendan Rodgers’ side to Lyon back in August.

Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…

Dembele cannot play for Celtic’s senior side until his 16th birthday in February, although he is likely to have to wait longer than that having only just broken into the Bhoys’ reserve set up.

Jack Aitchison continues to hold the record for Celtic’s youngest ever player, making his first team bow aged 16 and 71 days.

How should Celtic proceed with Dembele?
