The former Celtic defender could face Rangers in UEFA Europa League qualifying action.

Former Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko could return to Glasgow this summer to face old foes Rangers in the third round of UEFA Europa League qualifying.
Should Steven Gerrard’s side make it past Progres Niederkorn, Sviatchenko’s Danish Cup winners FC Midtjylland are next in line with a spot in the play-off round of the competition at stake.
Sviatchenko was a passionate performer for the Hoops and played against the Gers on five occasions; winning three times, drawing once and losing another.
His only goal in the derby came in the match his side lost, a penalty defeat at Hampden as Ronny Deila’s outfit faced off against Mark Warburton’s in the 2016 Scottish Cup semi-final.
The Dane is a continued supporter of Celtic on social media and will likely relish the opportunity to play at Ibrox and host Gerrard’s men should they defeat Progres.
Midtjylland haven’t featured in the group stages of the Europa League since 2015 and Rangers will fancy their chances of making it into the play-off round.

Some Celtic fans are curious about the potential match-up, with this lot taking to Twitter on Monday to share their thoughts on the draw…
