Celtic have been bizarrely linked with Emmanuel Adebayor.

Every transfer window brings some bizarre rumours for almost every club, and Celtic’s strangest link emerged on Friday.
The Sun reported that Celtic are interested in signing free agent striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who is a free agent after leaving Basaksehir this summer.
The 35-year-old is a big name having played for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, but the notion of him turning up at Parkhead seems bizarre to say the very least.
Adebayor hit four goals and two assists for Basaksehir last season, and now finds himself looking for a new club as his career heads towards its end.
The rumour does smack of Adebayor’s agent trying to his client’s name out in the press and linked to a number of clubs, and Celtic fans are ultimately having none of it.

Bhoys supporters took to Twitter to react to the rumours, suggesting that Adebayor is past his best and shouldn’t be anywhere near Parkhead.
A couple of fans would love to see him working with young attackers Odsonne Edouard and Vakoun Issouf Bayo, believing their development would be aided, but the general consensus is that Celtic should completely avoid the veteran Togolese hitman.
