Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been reportedly added to Spartak Moscow’s managerial shortlist as the Russian outfit look to find a new manager – and Celtic fans reacted angrily at their manager being linked elsewhere, again.

The former Liverpool and Swansea City manager took over Celtic in the summer of 2016 and has won every single domestic trophy since, with Celtic now just three titles away from going 10 in a row.

However, a tumultuous summer involving transfers and the future of Dedryck Boyata, as well as being knocked out of the Champions League qualifying stage lead to doubts over his future.

A move to the Premier League and even Championship side Aston Villa has since been mentioned in the media, but Rodgers remains at Parkhead.

But a move to Russia is now the latest link for Northern Irishman Rodgers, who has a contract at Celtic until the summer of 2021. The two sides do have a past of transfers, with Aiden McGeady leaving Celtic to join Spartak in 2010.

The constant doubt over the future of Rodgers has angered Celtic fans on Twitter, who are frustrated that their manager has been linked to another club, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
